Importance of Internet in our daily life.

   

The Internet has turned our existence upside down. We need it in our daily life, in everything we do, we use the Internet: ordering food, buying things online, sharing a moment with a friend, sending a picture, searching for knowledge, chatting, listening for news around the world and many others uses. As everything in the life, Internet also has advantages and disadvantages. we should try to benefit from good uses and avoid the negative ones especially for kids. Parents should be aware of videos and games their children watch it. Finally, don't rescue your child from a challenge, but teach them how to face it.  

Peace

"Peace begins with a smile." it's said that smile can light up a room, so imagine what a world of smiles can do. Think of when you drop a stone in a pond. It generates a small ripple at first, but after a while, that little ripple spreads throughout the entire pond. One act can propagate across the whole world. If someone apologizes to someone else, and they do the same, imagine what we can achieve! Many people know its definition, only a few understand. Peace is the mother of progress. Without peace, a nation cannot make any progress. So peace is very essential. When everyone around me in my family, my circle of friends and any neighborhood is happy, i feel peace. Also, it means following what my heart says and sharing trust and respect with people around. Peace starts with everyone, so i will end it by asking everyone to keep smiling. You know what they say, "Peace BEGIN WITH A SMILE." 

Car Accident in Lebanon

Car accidents in Lebanon is becoming a severe issue and its percentage increases year after year. There are several causes leading to this situation. Some of the causes are direct such as: use of seat-belt, texting while driving, speeding, and drinking and driving, while others are indirect such as road infrastructure, rules forced and implemented, and efficiency of driving tests. Because a lot of adults and children died in car accidents we must try to reduce the percentage and bad effects of it; so let's begin from ourselves by changing our driving attitudes and try to respect and apply rules and regulations, therefore to help humanitarian organization in reaching their goals in raising awareness and reducing car accidents. Leave sooner, drive slower and live longer.

  

Brunch Day 5

It is the first time that I participate in this event at Lebanese International University and it was really a very nice experience. In this event all people work hard, instructors, students of school of education and sponsors. we present delicious food and fruits and we sell it to others, also there were a lot of games for children and then the amount that we have we give it as a donation for Dar Al Hanan because we believe that people should help each other If they need help. In this way we become more sensitive and we develop our empathy in order to reach our goal which is support others then God will support you. In addition, I was pleased to present this event and also to present Mrs. Lobna Orra, an instructor at LIU and also Mrs. Ehssan Hamad the director of Dar Al Hanan and who played the role of the mother of all children. At the end of the event Dr. Wassim Abou Yassine announce the amount of the donation which was 8000000 LBP and then he gave us certificates and take pictures. Finally, I'm so glad to be  a part of this family and I'm ready to give from my heart.     

My Experience as an Organizer!!

An organizer of an event is the person who makes sure that all necessary things and arrangements are made. It's his role to manage and plan for the event in order to achieve a successful work. Organizers, should have a lot of tenacity and empathy and they should collaborate, coordinate with each others and work hard because the success of the event means the success of the team. This year i worked as an organizer in two events. The first time was when the Lebanese International University organized   workshops for teachers from different schools and it was a productive event and the second time i participated in the organization of the conference of Women's affairs and also it reached success. This experience was important for me and it gives me more confidence which develop my personality. Finally, a lot of events are coming this semester and will never stop participating in such events!! :)

Educational Media and Technology

"Educational Media and Technology" is an attractive and productive course. I learned new things that i never used it before. So i learned how to compose my own blog and how to write anything i want and also i attended a webinar and it was my first experience; i met different people from different countries so we shared our ideas and opinions. in addition, i learned how to design a poster and i designed my own poster which was about "Water Resources and Crisis In Lebanon". In this Course i feel engaged and there is no boredom. All these things are very important to use it as teachers because it helps us and facilitate our work and also we should make our students aware of it. I'm so excited to know what we are going to learn in the next weeks. :):) 

What About Friendship??

Friendship is a relationship between people who care about each others. In my life i met a lot of people; some of them become my friends and i trusted them and others were fake. In the past, i thought that i have many friends but in reality this was not true because not everyone you meet and you talk to him can be called a friend especially in our days where the social medias take a big place in human's life. So a true friend is the person who cares about you, who defends you when you are absent and don't allow anyone else to say something bad on you even if you did something bad. Also, a true friend is the one who stands up and never betrays you, the ones who trust, help, listen and support you when you need them. Friends should be honest and real, fabulous and funny, deep-down trust and understanding. They are hard to find, difficult to leave and impossible to forget.  So if you have true friends, don't let them go because you can't get them back. :):) <3<3 

Presence as Coach

"Presence as Coach" is the subject of a webinar that i attended ten days ago. It was the first time that i have attended  a webinar and really it was an unforgettable experience because i met different people from different countries. First of all, we begin by presenting ourselves and then Mrs. Marilynn introduced the topic and started by saying that presence as coach is not only for teacher but also when dealing with people, in the society, at work and as parents. So you should take a deep breath and think positively when any situation happens, ask questions, listen carefully and find to connect others in order to have a clear picture about the situation so you can take the right decisions. In addition, to be present you should have your role as parents, teacher or in the society; try to increase yourself awareness by knowing yourself, choosing yourself and giving yourself. There are three important thing to presence which are the mind, the body and the heart and we should have balance between them. After that we asked questions and she replied on it. When i asked her that as teachers we should know who we are and what are our abilities but, how we can help our students to do that? she told me that we should listen to them, ask them and connect them to other students; in another way, let them practice their abilities. Before finishing the webinar, i asked her if presence can be innate or developed by experiences and she said that it can be learned and developed with time. finally, it was a productive and nice experience that everyone should try it. 

        

How To Be a Good Presenter?

Many presentations are forgettable because there is no purpose from it. For this reason, to be a good presenter is not something easy and it is not true that anyone can do it even teachers. As we know that not all teachers are good presenters; some of them are very good in theories only. So, if you really want to present something in a professional way then you should follow these steps:

1. research your topic: you should collect all information needed in your topic by using examples and evidences in order to speak with knowledge and confidence. 
2. organize your information: be prepared well and avoid complete sentences so you can use power point.
3. practice: try to understand the topic and not memorize it; in this way you feel comfortable and do practices several time before presenting. 
4. don't be stressed: be confident in yourself, use formal language and expressions, voice change and work hard to grab audience attention and never forget to keep eye contact and to engage your audience. 

Finally, try to work on these steps several time in order to reach your purpose. To achieve, nothing can be done without hope and practice.  

 

How To Be a Good Teacher

Being a good teacher can be the most rewarding and exciting job in the world. If you didn't like this job you should never work it. Good teacher should have several characteristics in order to reach his goal which is student's understanding. He should have a lot of tenacity and empathy also he should build a good relationship with students based on respect and acknowledging. Building good relationship with your students can motivate them to a successful learning. Furthermore, classroom management is the thing that every teacher should know how to deal with it in order to help learning. So teacher should not only know how to manage his work but also how to manage and save time in order to make learning meaningful. Finally, you should know that to teach is to touch lives for ever.
