Many presentations are forgettable because there is no purpose from it. For this reason, to be a good presenter is not something easy and it is not true that anyone can do it even teachers. As we know that not all teachers are good presenters; some of them are very good in theories only. So, if you really want to present something in a professional way then you should follow these steps:
- research your topic: you should collect all information needed in your topic by using examples and evidences in order to speak with knowledge and confidence.
- organize your information: be prepared well and avoid complete sentences so you can use power point.
- practice: try to understand the topic and not memorize it; in this way you feel comfortable and do practices several time before presenting.
- don't be stressed: be confident in yourself, use formal language and expressions, voice change and work hard to grab audience attention and never forget to keep eye contact and to engage your audience.
This is one of the most important issues Sara! A lot of teachers preach for being good presenters but they themselves don't know how to do it. there are several ways to practice presentations and I tried a lot of them, but believe me they are so helpful for anyone aiming at presenting or being a teacher.
